Hello Chamber Members and Friends,
We don’t normally send two e-newsletters in one month, but there are several important events coming up and we wanted to make sure they are on your calendar. We are so fortunate to have so many opportunities to work together to sustain and improve our community. Your input is valuable and we hope you will consider attending some or all of the events.
Due to safety concerns regarding ice, water flows and road conditions, we have re-rescheduled Blake Jones Trout Derby. New date will be 9/16. CA Department of Fish and Wildlife has not changed the date for the Eastern Sierra General Trout Season Opener on 4/29. We will hold the traditional press reception on 4/28 (see invite below). There will be many fishing industry representatives and members of the press in attendance. We’ll have presentations by local industry pros and LADWP will give updates and forecasts for the season.
Please bookmark the calendars www.bishopvisitor.com and www.bishopchamberofcommerce.

Thomas P. Miller & Associates
Thomas P. Miller & Associates is partnering with Alpine, Inyo, Mono Counties, and The Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) to develop a regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). CEDS, a U.S. EDA-funded program, results from a regionally owned planning process, designed to build capacity and guide regional economic prosperity and resiliency. Additionally, CEDS defines the area’s needs and guides investments for counties and cities for economic growth and development.
It is important that our local business community weighs in on this important project! Please consider attending one of the upcoming workshops. RSVP HERE.
